What I Wore To Work Wednesday: My K-Mids look with Barratts

Yah, so I’m bringing some elegance to the office today. Today’s little number is what I like to call my “Kate Middleton, Princess In The Office” look.

Knee-length demure blue dress meets leg lengthening nude heels. A ladylike formula that can’t go wrong. If its good enough for the Duchess, it’s good enough for me!

The dress

I love a long sleeve dress to cover my chicken-stick arms (I think I just came up with a new term to judge ourselves with, sorry society!)

This navy jersey wonder is part of the Primarni Army no less, bought at Primark a couple months ago for fifteen quid. HIYA.

Sometimes when I wear a pencil dress, I look a bit old. (Waaay more sensible than I actually am.)

However the pattern on this dress keeps it modern and young keep an eye out for new details on classic cuts and shapes – a must for refreshing your work wardrobe whilst keeping it safe for the office.

The Shoes

And where would K-Mids be without her nude heels?! Although her tried and trusted are apparently from LK Bennett – I’ve found the perfect alternative at Barratts.

Every girl needs a pair of trusty nude heels right? They go with almost everything, they make your legs look longer and they never distract from your outfit.

Face Value Tip: For optimum leg lengthening – Make sure you get the right shade for your skintone. If you go too light, they may end up looking a bit cheap. And uh-uhhh, cheap, you most certainly are not!

These shoes are the perfect height for the office – higher than kitten heels but with a chunky heel which provides support and comfort when I’m stomping around shouting about numbers. (I lead a fun life)

Now I probably haven’t been to a Barratts since the days of the foot measuring machine but I was really surprised with the range of shoes they had, and – more importantly- the prices! These babies are £26.75 at the moment and are really good quality.

There are some serious deals to be had, definitely have a browse at: www.Barratts.co.uk

The rest

Accesorising is kept to a minimum too, I just used this delicate rose-gold Love bracelet (originally gold but Ive been wearing it in the shower too many times…)

Face-wise – with a minimalist outfit like this, all you need is a slick of colour and a decent power brow. I’ve got on No7 Stay Perfect in ‘Gay Geranium’. How pleasant.

Nude heels are perfect for after-work too, I’ve taken this outfit from office-to-out before just by adding a statement necklace. Easy.

You can buy these nude heels here and the Brigitte also comes in suede – blue, beige and black – from £6.75!

And a big thank you to Barratts for letting me pick a pair of shoes!

So what do you think of my K-Mids look?!
What kind of shoes do you think every girl should have?
Do YOU own a pair of nude heels?

ps- I’ve just seen that Barratts are also doing the following discounts with the code “PAYDAY”
Spend £30 to save 15%, Spend £40 to save 20% and Spend £50 to receive a whopping 25% off!

If you get anything, show meeeeee!
