What I Wore To Work Wednesday – Print on Print (on Print)

Wednesday is here! How has your week been going? We’re halfway there, the weekend is almost in sight! Here’s another What I Wore To Work to keep your style radar going. Today’s theme is Print ON Print ON Print. That’s right Mathletes, I’m doing Print CUBED.

Global and tribal prints were seen all over the SS14 catwalks and for me, that means the return of my favourite – the snake print!

Ever classy and easily wearable, when used correctly, snake print can add a touch of expensive elegance to an otherwise all-Primark outfit. Today, I’ve loaded up a snake print top, with a snake print handbag and some snake print slingbacks.

On paper it sounds AWFUL right?! Way too matchy matchy and quite frankly, tackier than a pleather catsuit in Vegas. But before you make your mind up, take a look at the photos and let me know what you think!

Although I’m doing print on print on print on print on print, you’ll note that these prints are all different colours BUT from a similar colour palette. Therefore the three pieces simultaneously work together, whilst not looking the same. Clever eh?

I love this wrap top from H&M – it was on sale too – only £3.99! Is that a serious barg or what? Just be careful to wear a nude vest underneath in case you end up coming a bit undone! That’s not the way I do business round here….

Let’s take a closer look at the accessories…

My trusty Michael Kors Hamilton tote has been with me for 3 years now –  I treated myself for my birthday (by way of Bicester Village) and never looked back. The metal hardware adds an expensive edge which is perfect for a smart workwear look.

Finally – these adorable H&M slingbacks with a muted mint green front band. The delicate mix of colours absolutely scream Spring is here!! and the heel height is super comfortable – bought for less than £20!

Face Value Tip: Just make sure you buy some of this slingback grips – walking fast/London pace in slingbacks is HARD WORK otherwise!

So what do you think? Is print cubed TOO much print? In fact, can there ever be too much print?

What’s YOUR favourite print? Leopard, floral, geo, zebra?

Does anyone find themselves walking FASTER in London than they would anywhere else?
