Everyone has a weakness and when it comes to my weakness, all I see is blue circles…. Blue circles, white writing – yes my friends, I’m talking about the siren call of a shop named Boots.
I don’t know what it is but I can’t go to Boots without buying more than I intended to. Even if it’s boring crap like mouthwash (dull yet ESSENTIAL) , I always end up spending more than I planned! Please tell me this happens to you too?! Ho wait, perhaps you have an inkling of self control.
Given my weakness, imagine how happy I am when it comes to special offers and the latest 3 for 2 mix and match cosmetics is one of my all-time favourites! Give me ALL the cosmetics, gimme gimme gimmeee.
So, what did I get?? Recognise any of these?
No7 Lash Impact Mascara.
First up is the new No7 Lash Impact mascara – how cool is the packaging??! Reminds me a bit of Christmas though – or Dorothy shoes… How good is it on your lashes though?
Launched in April, this Lash Impact mascara is meant to offer excellent control to add volume without clumps. Nothing I’ve not seen before in terms of the promise but believe me, this is no ordinary bristle brush mascara.
I have to say, it’s pretty good! It gave my spindly thin lashes lots of volume whilst still remaining defined and separated. Very unexpected given that I normally like curved wands or silicone wands.
One coat is perfect for girls with pale or fine lashes who don’t like ‘too much’ – it’s not as instantly volumising as say L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes, Bourjois Clubbing or Rimmel Volume Flash
HOWEVER, unlike those, you can rake on 5 coats without your lashes clumping together like a giant spider – the brush acts like a comb, separating sticky lashes.
After absolutely lashing it all over my lashes, I loved the final effect but it’s quite a big brush so I found it hard to get a completely clean application – you can see some smudging below.
No7 BB Lips.
Another good egg from No7 is this No7 BB Lips Beauty Balm – like a BB cream, BB Lips is meant to have all the benefits of a BB Cream – mainly moisture enhancing coverage and SPF.
For me, it’s like a really creamy lip gloss with the added extra of SPF15 to prevent fine lines and dreaded skin aging. A dream. It comes in a range of colours but this Blink Pink shade is a great everyday enhancer.

Psst! Face Value heads up! There’s a bright coral version of BB Lips coming out for summer and I am planning to get my grubby mitts allllll over that one.
Revlon Girly #260
Finally – putting the free in the 3 for 2 is this very clever Revlon nail polish. With a mix of different sized purple and pink glitter pieces, this sheer pink colour can be layered up and worn alone – or used as a topcoat over another colour!
Face Value Tip: This Revlon is perfect for a fun twist on speckled nails.
You can find all of the above products here – Beauty at Boots.com or in your nearest Boots store. No7 cosmetics are currently on a buy one, get one half price! OH NO, ANOTHER REASON TO GO AGAIN!
Favourite product for me? Probably gotta be the Revlon nail polish – I’m going to be using it A LOT.
So what do you think? Which is your favourite?
Would you try this mascara or do you have a tried and trusted favourite?
What colours would you pair this Revlon polish with?
