Product Of The Month: COLLECTION Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream

Nothing makes my day like getting a surprise bargain. I love surprises, I love bargains – I love surprise bargains ! That smug, happy feeling isn’t something I often experience with my beauty products but today, I absolutely NEED to shout from the rooftops and tell you about a wonderful little product I’ve bought.

A £2.99 knockout, this lip cream performs well above its price band and is one of my new must-have makeup items!

Oh yeah – and I bought another one too. See?

No surprises here – of course my story, like most of my shopping stories, starts in Boots….

Picture the scene. Already late but desperate to buy something to jazz up my 9-5 makeup, I was headed to the beauty aisles of Boots in hunt of a lipstick.

Although this was a spontaneous buy, I didn’t want to buy needlessly so I was looking for something new – something I hadn’t tried before but something which was cheap enough to choose in about 2 minutes!

It was a snap decision – a bit like the feeling when the platform for your train has just been announced and you’re trying to quickly pick an M&S sandwich whilst trying to avoid any of the yucky egg ones. (I know you know what I’m saying here guyss)

And what did I come out with? This adorable, non threatening little cream puff! Shall we take a closer look?

Tasting Notes.

Promising a velvety soft matt finish, the Collection Cream Puff is a moisturising lip cream with a slightly mousse-y texture and a vanilla scent.

It’s super light on the lips but with an expensive and satisfyingly creamy feel – even on my crispy lips!

As a habitual crispy-lip, I was worried that the matte finish might actually make my lips feel drier but even after about half an hour, I noticed that my lips still felt really smooth and much less rough.

As with all matte finishes, it’s not always the most flattering on dry lips but I have to say, the feel on your lips is incredible!!

I started off with Fairy Cake and then I just had to buy another!! There are only four shades and they’re ONLY £2.99 so really, you could collect the whole set……. I could collect the whole set!!! It’s decided. I’m getting the other shades too.

They taste slightly sweet but not sickly – very much like a vanilla cream puff. YUM. I just love the moussey texture. All this talk is making me hungry…

Here’s me with Fairy Cake on – sorry for the ultra shiny glare, this was taken with flash.

I love the natural, but smooth finish and the colours are perfect for everyday use.

Ideal for those who don’t wear strong lipsticks in their day-to-day face – or those who want to start dabbling in lip colour!

To recap. Great colour,  really great comfort – a super light mousse texture, similar to YSL Kiss & Blush actually – except only £2.99!

Dunno why I’m still typing- I should be going to get the other two RIGHT NOW!

Have you tried these before? What’s your favourite budget beauty product?

You look beautiful!I think I have tried one of these in the past and I loved the matte finish. At £2.99 they are so cheap. I wish they would do a reddish shade as the pink/nude shades just wouldn't suit me.Danniella
