Drawing A Fine Line Between Eyeko, SEVENTEEN & Oriflame Eyeliner Pens.

Here’s a statement for you: Liquid eyeliner is my all time fave. It’s potent, it’s precise, it doesn’t smudge and it doesn’t drag your delicate eye skin. That’s a win, win, win in my books!

The range of makeup we have available to us is astounding. Eyeliner alone comes in many formats- pencil, gel, liquid, kohl and eeeven after that, liquid eyeliner comes in more options for you to choose from.

There’s the classic brush and pot format, the felt tip and pot, flat tipped applicator, and my favourite – the liquid pen. With so many choices available, is there any difference between them?!

Today I’m going to be looking at three liquid eyeliner pens, all by respected beauty brands – but which one came out on top?

The Line Up.

Technical notes.

I’ve never brought anything from Eyeko before but the brand has been around for ages so it must be decent right? This Skinny Eyeliner was the sharpest and most precise of the three – mainly due to the fact that the nib was the hardest.

The firm nib meant I could get exceptional super-fine definition but the ink flow wasn’t as generous as the others so the drier nib felt like it was dragging my eye skin slightly.

The SEVENTEEN Make Your Mark was next. It created well defined lines with enough free flowing ink to get my required result but the line isnt as fine as the others.

It doesn’t mean it’s bad though – I would buy (and have bought!) this again.

This pen is perfect for eyeliner newbies who dont wanna spend too much.

I actually used this as part of my Halloween costume last year and drew a lace design on my face – check it out!

Finally – the Oriflame Stylo has the best ink flow of them all. The tip is sharp and the generous flow means you can line your eyes with minimal dragging on your skin.

I did notice that the casing became a lot messier after using it for a few weeks and this occasionally ended up on my hands!! You can see it in the picture – messy!

The Verdict.

My favourite of the three was the Oriflame Stylo but it really depends on what kind of line you like.

If you want sharp and crisp, Eyeko’s the clear winner but the Oriflame is a bit smoother and more gentle on skin.

At only £3.99, the SEVENTEEN liner does the job and does it well so if you’re not too bent on getting a super-fine line, this might be your winner.

My advice with all three is that you put the cap back on properly! If you don’t, both the Eyeko and the SEVENTEEN liners are very prone to drying out. Be warned!

Pssst. You can buy EYEKO Skinny Liquid Eyeliner Black here via my Amazon affiliate shop.

Have you tried any of these? What kind of eyeliner do you use? Liquid, pencil, gel?
