I went to the #bloggersfestival event last weekend so it was a very busy Instagram and Twitter day on Saturday. What do you expect when a large group of bloggers come together? It’s like some sort of cardinal rule – when THIS many bloggers are in the same room, Instagram-hysteria happens..
This week is going far too quickly – I’m nowhere near prepared for London Fashion Week so today is going to be a short one! As a little What I Wore special, I thought I’d show you a quick look at my outfit that day and a glimpse of what went down at #bloggersfestival…
What I Wore.
It was a surprisingly pleasant day in London and no jacket was needed so, with the last dregs of Summer in my cup, I opted for this simple grey jersey t-shirt dress from Boohoo, paired with a statement necklace and printed scarf.
I love this Boohoo dress – it’s so comfy and easy to wear in both summer or winter – however it needs dressing up otherwise it just looks like a large grey sack. (a beautiful comfy large grey sack)
The necklace is a gothic F&F find and I love it as it’s bold without being too garish. Am on the hunt for more statement jewellery now!!
The scarf is ‘imitation’ Hermes, sourced whilst on a family va-cay in China. I absolutely love it – despite the bold colours, it actually goes well with so many outfits and lends a very chic, art-school grad appeal. I wear it with skinny jeans and a white tee on the weekend, or with a suit on the way to work.
I found my outfit soulmate in Albertine from DippyWrites – both of us rocking the grey jersey & bling look!
Best dressed blogger award for me, went to the beautiful Aura from AuraBorealisWrites. She had these amaaaazing blue contacts in and a lovely intricate dragon ear cuff on.
I’d love to wear an ear cuff, but this would draw far too much attention on my pointy elf ears…. Little-known fact, my ears are pointy!
Here’s a look at my highlights from #bloggersfestival.
Our wonderful host Scarlett London, getting her makeup done by Gary Cockerill. (I previously met Gary at ‘The One’ launch here)
The Bee Good all-natural skincare range using British bees, just launched in Waitrose. I was lucky enough to win the collection – I can’t wait to trial it and tell you all about it!
Getting some incredible Nail Wraps from Izabelle Hammon – I learnt that we should FILE them off and seal with clear varnish – that’s the trick for long lasting wraps!!
Lee Stafford’s new Ubuntu Oils From Africa range which is a selection of hair oil and treatments for different hair types. Pamper, repair or protect your hair!
And one of my favourite brands, Oriflame, is releasing an improved version of it’s Triple Core 3D Lipstick later this year and I’ve got a advance preview coming up soon! You can see my review on the original Triple Core Lipstick here.
Any of these new products caught your eye?
What do you think of my outfit? Are you all about comfort when it comes to an outfit?
