Happy Housewarming To Me From Flamingo Gifts!

Home Chalk Board

In case you missed it…. I’m buying a house! Well, can’t quite afford a house in London, it’s actually a 2 bed flat but still, it’s a place of my own. And the best part? I CANT WAIT TO DECORATE! I’m not quite in there yet but I sure am planning everything already.

The lovely team at Flamingo Gifts spotted my “How To Buy A House” blog series on hunting for a house and sent me some beautiful presents which are frankly, perfect housewarming gifts! A house plant just doesnt cut it anymore.

So if you’re looking for gift inspiration, or just downright loveliness, take a closer look at these babies….

These Abode tall tins by Magpie are adorable and so useful! I’ve got one in the kitchen holding teabags, another holding biscuits and the middle-size one in my bathroom holding cotton pads!

It’s £16 for the full set, and the set features a mouse design, a whale and a deer. The colours are really cute, adding a bit of a modern twist on a classic tin.

They’re so versatile, they would look great in any sort of kitchen – whether it’s a retro Cath Kidston kitchen or minimalist New York loft style apartment.

I’m a HUGE fan of a statement cushion and this comic-style POW Pop Art Cushion by Sass & Belle is brilliant. It’s hand crafted and looks quite expensive. You can get ZAP and BOOM cushions too. It’s only £17.45, I would have paid more for it.

This will make a perfect addition to any TV-lovers sofa – I just need to make sure I don’t spill anything on it. (I’m guilty of using a cushion to prop my TV dinner on more than one occasion)

And finally, saving the best until last – it’s this GENIUS magical log and squirrel plant pot £22.50. You might think it’s just a plastic plant pot with a cute animal in it, but it’s really clever.

The squirrel sits in a water well underneath the interior plant pot. There are ropes which link the plant pot to the water well so that the plant absorbs only the amount of water it wants

So you can put loooads of water in the well and it won’t overwater. This is ideal for serial plantkillers like me – or if you’re going on a long holiday and want to make sure your plants are well supplied.

What’s your favourite item? Would any of these look great in your home?
