LFW AW16 Day One: What Actually Happens?

It’s back again! For the next 3 days I will be putting the Accounting on hold, and will be reporting for Yahoo Style straight from the catwalk and behind-the-scenes backstage.

I still can’t quite get over the fact that this will be the FOURTH season that I’ve been doing this dream role for – I’m still so grateful for all of you who helped me get here.

Anyway, enough of the soppy stuff – what happened today? Here’s the lowdown.

Started the day by catching up on the Marc Jacobs show from NYFW. Check out my article for Yahoo Style here :  Kendall Jenner And Lady Gaga Take The Marc Jacobs AW16 Catwalk By Storm

I then headed for my first show of the day – Eudon Choi. Lots of lovely clean and contrasting lines, with pleats and oversized warm neutrals making an appearance.

I loved these fur tipped ankle boots. I saw ankle boots at pretty much every show I went to today.

Caught Labrinth having a FROW moment at Eudon Choi. Is that Louisa Johnson? Spent a lot of time trying to work out if it WAS, because you can’t undo a Tweet once it’s out there! In the end, i just went with tweeting only Labrinth.

Next onto the Edeline Lee presentation, with fresh faced models wearing a range of monochrome looks, detailed with bold florals, piping or tiny prints.

Stompy boots are still du jour, at Edeline Lee.

Instagrammed a lot of stuff. Tweeted a lot of stuff. (not my hand)

I then powerwalked down to Embankment, where I interviewed designer Manuel Facchini and took a look at his new collection. (Article coming up on Yahoo soon)

The designs at Manuel Facchini were solid – stunning and different, but very wearable all the same. My favourite of the day.

Ran up to The Langham for the DAKS show and it was amazing. Again, clothes I would definitely wear, lots of moody blacks and greys in silk, lace, feathers and fur. Very wintery – I can definitely see myself channeling this in AW16.

Another outfit to coo over.

Oh yeah, Proudlock got a new lid. And Hugo dyed his hair blonde too. Yeah, I’m not sold on the new look either.

Then I went back to the office, wrote up the Manuel Facchini interview, worked out my schedule for tomorrow and then did some prep for my next interview.

What I Wore

Suit by ASOS
Polo Neck by H&M
Bag from Depop (inspired by Mansur Gavriel)
Marc Jacobs Watch
Primark Stan Smith lookalike trainers (not seen)

So there you go – Day 1, and what exactly goes down at LFW. Check back again to find out what happens tomorrow!
